Planer boards are an important piece of trolling equipment, as they can be used to direct the lures to swim on the side of your boat, thus allowing you to use several rods at once. Planer boards can be divided into two categories. In-line planer boards are attached directly to the rod line and you need as many in-line planers as the number of rods you are using. Dual planer boards are larger in size and can be used to attach the preferred number of lines using planer board releases.
