Mormyshkas

Fishing with a mormyshka can be quite effective when the fish are more picky. When you bait the hook of a mormyshka with a fly or mayfly larva, it is possible to catch numerous other species, such as whitefish, in addition to perch. You can use leader line to attach a mormyshka under a balance jig, thus allowing you to fish with slightly heavier gear.
