Smoking is an excellent method of cooking fish and meat. Because of the tasty smokey aroma, salt is the only seasoning you need for smoked fish. Easily purchase smoke-boxes and sawdust for smoking from the Happy Angler online store. Fish is typically smoked in a smoke-box for 20–60 minutes either on a fire or in a grill. The smoking time depends on the size of the fish and the temperature used. In addition to sawdust, we recommend adding a few sugar cubes on the bottom of the smoker to provide a lovely darker shade to the surface of the fish.
