Shimano's Sahara FJ continues the triumphal progress of Sahara range. Sahara reels are renowned for their excellent features and durability. The durability is ensured by Shimano's patented X-Ship-supported Hagane gearing. You can feel the smooth operation of the reel from the first turn of the reel handle, but only under load will you realize the performance and torque available at your fingertips. Sahara's G-Free Body design shifts the center of mass closer to the rod, thus improving casting ergonomics and reducing exhaustion.

• X-Ship. Shimano's X-Ship design means that the most critical components are supported from each end and kept precisely in their places. This provides you plenty of power and torque, which will become apparent when you are fighting your record catch.

• Propulsion Line Management System. New Propulsion spool construction. Tens of thousands of test casts and computer simulations were used to verify that the new spool lip design offers increased casting distance compared to traditional designs and eliminates clearance and wind knots
• Silent Drive technology minimizes clearance and reduces noise.
• Anti-reverse bearing
• AR-C spool is included. The design of the front-facing edge of the AR-C spool is included among Shimano's patents. This allows the line to travel directly from the spool toward the first line guide. This minimizes the friction at the line guide closest to the reel and eliminates the need for an over-sized guide.
