Grundens believes and knows that fishing feeds us both physically and mentally. Fishing is our livelihood, but first and foremost, it is our passion! The traditional company, founded already in 1911 in Sweden, originally focused on textiles to fulfill the needs of professional fishers. The story begins on the west coast of Sweden, in the small fisher village Grundsund, when Carl A. Grundén started to produce waterproof (oilskin) products to protect the fishers of the North Sea from the demanding and rough conditions of the profession. With this knowledge of over 100 years, Grundéns truly knows the demands that the sea sets for clothing and equipment.

Grundéns base values are trustworthiness, quality, and sustainability. Grundéns products are packaged in plastic-free packaging that decompose. Grundéns has manufactured a significant amount of their products in their own factory in Portugal since 1972.

The know-how of a long history has also been used in textiles and footwear for sportfishing. The fit of Grundéns textiles is slightly loose, and specifically designed with layering in mind, so same size products fit well on top of each other.
