Shimano Beastmaster 12000 MD is Shimano’s largest and most powerful electric baitcasting reel—engineered for deep-sea anglers targeting true monsters like swordfish from the depths or colossal squid. The "Monster Drive" concept is powered by Shimano’s largest brushless motor to date, delivering up to 2.5 times the torque of the 9000 model. It provides a force output of up to 38 kg and a top speed of 170 meters per minute. All this power is housed in a rugged Hagane body designed to withstand extreme stress without compromising structural integrity—no matter the challenge.

Its drag power is exceptional: up to 43 kg. Thermo Adjust Drag not only ensures smooth braking but also reduces heat build-up by up to 50%, enabling longer and more reliable performance during extended fights. The dot-matrix display remains clear even in direct sunlight, and Exciting Drag Sound provides real-time audible feedback based on load.
