The floating LED flare works for 9 hours on 4 AA 91L Lithium batteries. Safe to use. IP68 rating, waterproof to a depth of 100 meters for one hour. Red LED light, SOS signal.Traditional flares will burn for approximately 30 seconds before going out. Odeo Distress will remain lit for approximately 8 hours. As the light is not produced by pyrotechnics, Odeo products are completely safe when lit.
