The Shogun rods are lightweight throughout – starting with ultralight AGS line guides. The AGS line guides are up to 40% lighter than traditional line guides. They also increase responsiveness, as they are exceptionally rigid. This allows the rod blank to do all of the work, which is as it should be. In addition, Shoguns are equipped with full-length AAA cork handles. Daiwa's new Shogun rods feature top-quality SVF Nanoplus blanks combined with the X45 construction.
