Daiwa's 23 Saltiga is a sturdy and effective spinning reel for catching large fish on the sea. 23 Saltiga is packed full of Daiwa’s advanced technologies, and it is the best mid-sized saltwater spinning reel ever made by Daiwa. Airdrive Design makes its saltwater debut in 23 Saltiga.
The reel features Daiwa's well-known Monocoque (MQ) design comprising a single-piece aluminum housing, which ensures that the internal mechanics remain in the correct position and protects them against water. The single-piece construction allows for a larger main gear, which makes the reel more resilient and more powerful. The Airdrive roto is made from an aluminum alloy, allowing Daiwa's engineers to reduce the weight of the reel while maintaining its sturdiness, which is important in terms of the strength and reliability of the reel.
The Airdrive bail is thinner and lighter than before. The new design of the bail directs the line perfectly onto the spool, which has also been redesigned to include Twistbuster III to reduce tangled lines even further. Daiwa's Magseal technology has been used on top of the pinion gear to prevent water from reaching inside the reel from above, and for the bearings to prevent access through the handle or its attachment screw. Tough Digigear ensures that the reel continues to serve you silently and smoothly for years to come. ATD drag system combines with LC-ABS Long Cast for long and accurate casting.
