Daiwa 23 Airity LT Spinning Reel

23 Airity LT spinning reel is Daiwa's lightest reel – complete with the Airdrive design! 23 Airity is fully loaded with components based on the new Airdrive concept that offers excellent sensitivity and smooth performance. The CNC-machined aluminum Digigear gearing has been coated using a special method for even smoother and softer action. Contact between the Airdrive shaft and the gear has been minimized for reduced friction and silky-smooth, near silent operation day after day. The Monocoque design of the magnesium housing allows for more effective transmission and extends the reel's service life even under significant stress.

The new Airdrive rotor reduces weight at the front of the reel for improved reel/rod balance. The reduced weight of the rotor also reduces its rolling resistance, which allows for improved reaction speed. The hollow Airdrive bail is up to 33% lighter than Daiwa’s previous bails, but it is still strong enough to keep serving you reliably for years to come.

The walls of the Airdrive spool have been made thinner to cut down on unnecessary weight, which also allows for a reduction in the weight of the front section of the reel. The redesigned Twistbuster III is perfect for braided lines, as it reduce twisting and eliminates tangles. The Magsealed protection is particularly good for fishing in saltwater, as it reduces corrosion and prevents water from getting inside the reel.

The Light & Tough (LT) concept reels are designed for modern anglers who use braided lines and expect more power and better drag performance from their reels. Compared to their predecessors, LT concept reels are lighter and more compact, but their line capacity, drag performance, and main gear size remains the same or better.
