BKK was established in 1856 in Poyang, China. The 16-year old son of the Zhan family produced the first BKK hook to help local fishers to catch more fish. Today, BKK employs approximately 600 people in its factory and its offices in Japan and Shanghai. Passion for fishing drives BKK to approach product development in an environmentally-friendly manner, and this passion is relied upon by thousands of anglers around the world!
The Japanese Good Design Award has been granted to innovative designs in different industries since 1957. BKK was the first fishing brand to receive this award.
