VoltiQ adjusts braking during the cast The electronic VoltiQ system monitors spool rotation and makes small, precise adjustments to braking during the different phases of the cast. The result is a more controlled cast while still giving anglers versatile adjustment options. 10 brake settings for different casting situations Settings 1–3 form Pro Mode. With these settings, braking is temporarily paused during the acceleration phase of the cast, allowing the spool to reach a high speed before braking is activated. This setting range is specifically designed to maximise casting distance. Settings 4–6 provide a balanced combination of casting distance and control, making them well suited to all-round fishing. Settings 7–9 apply more braking during the acceleration and deceleration phases, helping when fishing in windy conditions or with larger lures and thicker lines. Setting 10 provides the system's strongest braking, for example when casting large lures into strong headwinds.
