The Black Betty reek has bearing-mounted gearing, which means that even lighter lures can be dropped to your chosen depth with adjustable speed as you squeeze the Free Fall Drop Lever trigger. Release the trigger, and the reel is immediately ready for retrieve or hooking and fighting your catch.
The falling speed of the lure can be adjusted to perfection with the Drop Speed Control function. You can make adjustments based on the weight and type of your lure, as well as the conditions. If you notice that the fish are more interest to a certain speed, you can adjust the reel based on this information. An inline reel does not twist the line, which means that you can offer your lure even to the most suspicious fish at full speed without spinning the lure.
