Garmin inReach Messenger Plus Satellite Communicator helps you stay connected even where mobile network coverage ends. With an active inReach subscription, you can send and receive not only text messages but also photos and voice messages via satellite, share your location and, when needed, send an interactive SOS alert. The compact, IPX7-rated device is ideal for hiking, outdoor adventures and remote areas where regular mobile communication cannot be relied upon. Text, photo and voice messages via satellite inReach Messenger Plus allows you to send text messages of up to 1,600 characters even without mobile network coverage. With the Garmin Messenger app on a compatible smartphone, you can also send and receive photos and voice messages up to 30 seconds long and participate in group conversations. The connection can use Wi-Fi or a mobile network when available and switch to the satellite network when you move beyond their coverage. SOS, location sharing and navigation in remote areas In an emergency, Garmin inReach Messenger Plus Satellite Communicator can send an interactive SOS alert with your GPS position to the Garmin Response coordination centre, which is staffed around the clock. You can share your location and route with family and friends, while the TracBack function helps you navigate back along the same route you travelled. The Garmin Explore app adds trip planning, route management and mapping features. Long battery life for demanding adventures The built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 600 hours, or 25 days, of battery life when sending a text message or location every 10 minutes in low-power messaging mode under good satellite conditions. Up to 250 media messages can be sent on a single charge. When needed, the device's battery can also be used to charge a compatible phone.
