The Finnish Lion cast in bronze. The origins of this knife go back over a decade. In 1997 Finland celebrated its 80th year as an independent nation and Marttiini joined the party by releasing a knife to commemorate the event. The knife received an updated look in 2009. A bronze cast Finnish Lion adorns the end of the handle and the whole knife brims with Finnish Sisu, the unwillingness to never give up. With the Sisu spirit our ancestors secured the welfare and prosperity we enjoy today. This knife has been awarded as a Sisu trophy in such events as the Olympics to athletes who displayed great bravery and toughness on the sports field.
