Savage Gear was created by Mads Grosell from Denmark. The production began modestly, with Mads creating lures and rods in his spare time. The operation soon grew into a large company, which is particularly well known in Scandinavia.

Savage Gear lures are especially known for their reliability and authenticity. This is made possible by the fact that the lures are designed from the very beginning as accurate imitations of prey. The lures are painstakingly tested before they are launched.
