Igloo – Legendary Coolers for Fishing, Outdoor Adventures and Leisure
Igloo is one of the world's best-known cooler brands, serving outdoor enthusiasts, anglers, boaters, campers and active families since 1947. With over 75 years of experience, Igloo has established itself as a leading manufacturer of high-quality coolers, beverage containers, insulated drinkware and electric cooling products. The brand is especially known for its durability, practicality and innovative solutions that make outdoor adventures and leisure activities more enjoyable.
For anglers, Igloo offers a reliable way to keep food, drinks and freshly caught fish cool, even during long fishing trips. The range includes traditional hard-sided coolers, electric coolers, compressor coolers, cooler backpacks and models specifically designed for boating. Thanks to effective insulation, contents stay cool even on hot summer days, making Igloo an excellent choice for both day trips and multi-day fishing adventures.
A Long History of Innovation
Igloo's story began in the United States in 1947, when the company manufactured steel water containers for oilfield workers. Over the decades, the brand became an industry pioneer by developing several significant innovations. Igloo was among the first to introduce plastic coolers in the 1960s, followed by the iconic Playmate cooler in 1971 and wheeled coolers in 1994. The Playmate became a globally recognised classic, with its distinctive design even earning a place in the Smithsonian Museum's collections.
High-Quality Products for Active Use
Igloo products are designed with durability, practicality and versatility in mind. Their coolers are built to withstand demanding use in fishing boats, at the cabin, in cars, at campsites and along hiking trails. Sturdy construction, effective insulation and user-friendly features make these products reliable companions for years to come. Many Igloo coolers are even passed down through generations while remaining fully functional.
