Ice fishing lines and snap swivels
The line and leader also play a crucial role in ice fishing. Monofilament or braided lines with a thickness of 0.10–0.20 mm are typically used in ice fishing for perch. For pike and other larger fish, the line thickness can go up to 0.40 mm. Compared to monofilament lines, the benefits of braided lines include their non-stretching quality, which improves the feel even further. If you are using a braided line for ice fishing, make sure that the line does not absorb water and thus does not freeze in sub-zero conditions.
