Weighted lures

Weighted lures are used for targeting fish that swim unusually deep. For example, zander often likes to hide near the bottom, which means that a weighted lure is the perfect way to bring your bait near to the fish. Weighted lures are used in trolling and they are often combined with a spoon. The weighted lure should be attached with a hanger-type fastener, double trolling hook, triple leaders, or another similar attachment such that the weighted lure is placed approximately a rod's length from the plug or spoon, depending on the situation. The weight of weighted lures typically varies from a few grams up to 120 grams and beyond. You can also attach more than one weighted lure to your line to allow you to adjust the swimming depth on a larger scale.
